The Deschutes overlooks historical homes and Drake Park.
Our Deschutes Room is named after the Deschutes River, a major tributary of the Columbia River. In 1910, Mirror Pond was built as a result of the Bend Water, Light & Power Company’s dam in Bend. The dam provided the city of Bend with its initial source of electricity. The river is world-renowned for its fly-fishing, and it is home to Columbia River Redband trout. Today, the river hosts many activities including paddle boarding, white-water rafting, fly-fishing, canoeing and kayaking.
