Guests Return to Bend Bed & Breakfast on June 11th
Oh how we’ve missed you! The vines of the hop plants trailed up the fence and the flowers bloomed in the yard while we waited patiently until we could welcome you back to our Bend bed and breakfast. The wait is over, starting June 11th, 2020 reservations will be open just in time to enjoy the cool nights and warms days of the Central Oregon summer.
You can expect to find the same level of friendliness, hospitality, comfortable rooms, delicious multi-course breakfast and afternoon beer and wine hour but we’ve made a few changes to keep everyone safe and follow the guidelines set by the AHLA and CDC.
You’ll notice all of our staff members wearing masks. From the time they enter the Lara House to the time the leave, they will be wearing masks and gloves. Everyone knows that if they don’t feel well, to stay home.
Here are a few changes you can expect:
When You Arrive
Check-in has been simplified for guest and staff safety.
All guests will be required to wear a mask when entering the house and while they are in the common area. If guests forget or misplace their masks we have plenty available.
Hand sanitizer will be provided throughout the house and we ask guests to use it frequently.
We ask that all guests maintain 6 feet social distancing from staff as well as other guests.
Our wonderful multi-course breakfast is the same experience guests have come to expect but the seating options are a little different. To maintain proper social distancing we will limit the number of guests in the breakfast room, and have opened up additional breakfast seating to the quaint covered front porch or the patio tables on the back porch. Guests can also choose to eat breakfast in their room.
Wine & Beer Hour
Our afternoon wine and beer hour will still be offered but guests will now have a choice of enjoying their beverage while relaxing on the front porch, the back deck, the side yard or in their room. Our common area will not be available for wine and beer hour.
Our cleaning routine was top notch before but we’re stepping it up to include new sanitizing procedures in accordance with AHLA and CDC guidelines. Each room will be cleaned, sanitized and then fogged with a disinfectant spray to make sure that it is ready for the next guest. Also each guest room will have a period of 24 hours between guests.
Daily room housekeeping will no longer be available. If guests need anything, like fresh towels, trash pickup or resupply of any of the amenities, we will gladly accommodate requests.
All areas that are high touch, like door handles, light switches, tables, etc. will be sanitized several times per day. The common areas will also be fogged with a disinfectant spray on a daily basis.
Our Cancellation Policy
We so look forward to your stay but we do ask that anyone not feeling well to please stay home. We will now offer a 24 hour prior cancellation for illness with only a $20.00 cancellation fee.
