The Lara House was built in 1910 by Mable and Arthur Lara. This house was one of the first homes built in the Historical District of downtown Bend. The Lara’s lived in this house for about 5 years and then moved to Newport, Oregon.
The Lara House was a boarding house during the depression and later provided a home for women and families during World War II. The home has always been a welcoming place for people to stay. It has been a Bed and Breakfast for over 40 years.
For the past 6 years the Bed and Breakfast has been family run and owned!
